Black and Blue Marlin
Tournament

Costa Baja Marina
sponsored a large fishing
tournament.  The Marlin
had to be over 200 pounds
to qualify.  The contestant
was charged $50 for every
pound under 200.  The
only fish presented on the
first day was only 150
pounds, costing the
contestant @ $2,500.
Our temporary
neighbor - Fin
Seeker - was
a beautiful
1977 Cris
Craft
powerboat.
These guys
were serious
about fishing
and their
equipment.
Summer in La Paz 2008

Here are some of the highlights of our Summer and early Fall in La Paz..
Happy Birthday Azul Marino

Our favorite restaurant is
located about 100 feet from
our slip in Costa Baja
Marina.

Azul Marino is run by a
wonderful family and the
head chef, Christina, is
creative genius.  What that
girl can do with yellowtail!

We were pleased to attend
their first anniversary party.
And we are pleased to
continue to enjoy the great
food.
Norbert

Well, this wasn't exactly a highlight, but it was interesting.  Hurricane Norbert hit us Saturday October 11th.  We had been monitoring "Norbie" for over a week.  When we woke up on
Oct. 11th, Norbie was listed as a Category 3 and appeared to be heading slightly north of us..

It turns out it was closer than we thought, but had lowered quite a bit.  We had winds of @ 40 to 70 mph.
Haul Out - Berovich Boatyard

Hmmm, again this wasn't exactly
a highlight.  But it wasn't as bad
as we thought it would be.

The hardworking staff was nice
and they even had boatyard
dogs, Sasha and Buster.
Korean
Festival

Although
it was kind
of small,
we
enjoyed
the vivid
colors of
the
dancers.
As always, La Paz is a beautiful place to be.
